Herd Sire's

Hercules is a son of the great 'phenominon' cow who has produces some great herdsires. Hercules is the first of those with serious growth potenial. We bought him from Gary Woodring who had a few calves out of him. They started out right with the average birth weight being 87 pounds. Gary says "they are some of the thickest muscled polled calves he has seen". We believe Hercules is homogises (sp) polled.

This bull is 'polled imagination'. We bought him as the best of 4 ET brothers for Golden Link his sire 'polled image' has the best growth for a polled bull in the breed. His mother is a full sister to 'polled vision' who has brought some great calves to the corral. He is not homogises polled but does put some frame into his calves. His first calf crop is on the ground and the next one starts in September. He bred over 50 cows as a yearly bull between the spring and fall herd. Don't try that with your average bull.

This is a black polled 3/4 blood bull that had a 60 pound actual birth weight. We used him on 15 heifers last year. Their calves all came unassisted and had an average weight of 71.4 pounds. This is what we have been looking for in a heifer bull.

This Black scurred HeMan son is a bull we raised out of a black Durable Harry half blood cow. He had a weighing index of 104 and really carries the depth of body and thickness we like to see in cattle. He and his sire have been some of the easiest fleshing cattle we have here at the ranch. When there is not many groceries it is important that cattle can maintian themselves and the HeMan cattle have really done that for us. P52 has a few calves on the ground and they are mostly dark colored and all show his muscle expression.

This halfblood bull is a Conneally Lead-on son out of a dark polled Mr MAX daughter. He indexed at the top in gain per day, linear measurement, and was above average on his ultrasound. We are breeding him to a few cows this year to see if he produces as good as he is.

This is 'Mombo' this Golden Link bull is sired by Sam 627 who has sired some great cattle in this breed. He has above average growth epd's but has maintained moderate birth weights. Mombo's dam is the great River Hills 9020 cow who is also the mother of 'Tony' Golden Links herdsire. She brings consistent growth to the table.
